Cloakroom Attendant
KOKO Theatre
This role operates to support Theatre cloakroom operations during both live gigs, club nights and private event, working hours will be flexible but availability during late nights and weekends is required in line with business operations hours.
Job Summary
As a Cloakroom Attendant at KOKO Theatre, you will play a vital role in the guest arrival and departure experience, ensuring personal belongings are handled securely, efficiently and with care. Often one of the first and last points of interaction for guests, this role requires professionalism, speed, attention to detail and a calm presence during high-volume periods.
You will work closely with the wider Front of House and Security teams to maintain smooth guest flow during peak moments, contributing to the overall premium experience expected at KOKO Theatre.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally at the cloakroom, reinforcing KOKO’s high service standards
- Receive, tag, store and return coats and personal items accurately and securely
- Maintain an organised, efficient cloakroom operation during high-volume live events and club nights
- Manage queues and wait times calmly and clearly, particularly during peak arrival and departure periods
- Handle guest belongings with care, discretion and attention to detail at all times
- Communicate effectively with Front of House and Security teams to support smooth crowd movement
- Respond to guest queries or issues promptly, escalating concerns to the Venue Manager or duty management when required
- Ensure cloakroom systems, tags and storage areas are fully prepared before service and maintained throughout the night
- Uphold a professional appearance and guest-first attitude at all times
- Support special events and varying event formats, adapting to different audience profiles and operational needs
About you
We’re looking for reliable, guest-focused individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced live events environment, with the following attributes:
- Previous experience in a cloakroom, front-of-house, or customer-facing role (hospitality, events or nightlife preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Calm, efficient and professional under pressure
- Friendly and approachable, with clear communication skills
- Trustworthy and responsible, with respect for guests’ personal belongings
- Flexible and reliable, with availability for late nights, weekends and event dates
