About The House of KOKO

The House of KOKO is a private members' club in the heart of Camden, bringing together food, drink, music and culture under one roof.

At the heart of the club is a diverse hospitality offering, encompassing three restaurants and eight bars, each contributing to the experience we create for our members and their guests. Our culinary operation is an integral part of The House of KOKO, and we're growing our kitchen brigade with talented chefs who take pride in their craft and are passionate about delivering exceptional food in high-end restaurant settings, and exciting event productions.

We're looking for experienced Chef de Parties to join our team, take ownership of their section and work alongside our Head and Sous Chefs to deliver consistently high standards across our operation.

This is an opportunity to be part of a distinctive hospitality environment where great food, attention to detail and teamwork are essential to the experience we create, and you’ll be joining a growing kitchen team with the opportunity to contribute to the success of The House of KOKO.

Why Join The House of KOKO?

We believe your work should inspire you and reward you, too. Alongside the opportunity to develop your career within a unique hospitality environment, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Health & Wellbeing: Wellbeing platform, cash plans, Employee Assistance Programme and virtual GP service.
  • Work & Lifestyle: Your birthday off, staff meals on shift and contributions towards late-night taxi fares.
  • Pay & Progression: Internal development opportunities, tailored training, fortnightly pay with tronc and a pension scheme.
  • Culture & Perks: Staff discounts, ticket access, brand perks and local partnerships along with our Refer a friend bonus scheme

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you'll take responsibility for your section, ensuring every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standards. Working closely with the wider kitchen brigade, you'll play an important role in delivering smooth, efficient services and consistently excellent food.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own your section: Organise your workstation, manage preparation and ensure your section runs smoothly throughout service.
  • Deliver exceptional dishes: Prepare, cook and present food to the standards set by our Head Chef, maintaining consistency, quality and attention to detail.
  • Work with the menus: Develop a thorough understanding of our dishes, ingredients, preparation methods and presentation standards.
  • Maintain high standards: Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures, keeping workstations, equipment, fridges and storage areas clean and organised.
  • Work as one brigade: Communicate effectively with colleagues, coordinate with other sections and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.
  • Support and develop others: Help guide junior chefs, support the onboarding of new team members and share knowledge across the brigade.
  • Manage stock responsibly: Maintain appropriate stock levels, follow correct storage and rotation procedures, control portions and minimise food waste.
  • Thrive during service: Stay organised, focused and calm under pressure while delivering an excellent standard of food during busy services.

About You

We're looking for chefs who bring skill, enthusiasm and pride to their work, with the drive to deliver consistently great food as part of a team.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or equivalent professional kitchen experience demonstrating the ability to take ownership of a section.
  • Strong cooking skills and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
  • Excellent organisation, preparation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to maintain quality and composure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practice.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and contribute to the wider success of the kitchen.

Above all, we're looking for people who care about what goes on the plate, take pride in the details and understand the role that great food plays in an exceptional hospitality experience.

As a Chef de Partie at The House of KOKO, you'll be part of a live hospitality operation, which means evening services and weekend working are an essential part of the role. Flexibility is available where operationally possible, but candidates should be comfortable working in line with our service and trading hours.
